Echo Room

In collaboration with Francesco Scheffczyk.

This app was designed to address the lack of clubbing and hedonistic entertainment during the Covid pandemic. Based on user research, a prototype was developed to best meet the needs of the people surveyed. The main goal was to create a club atmosphere in the users' rooms and make the presence of other people tangible.

Via the dashboard, users can find current and upcoming events as well as local clubs that provide a livestream on Echo Room. Each event is ticketed, which benefits the club owners and DJs. A club can operate several virtual rooms where programs in the form of live performances or other events can take place. In the livestream, it is possible to share your own webcam image and see other participants. It is also possible to send visuals that are directly superimposed on the livestream image for all users to see.

To enhance the user experience, there are also instructions on how to change the private space to create a different atmosphere from everyday life. A beverage delivery service is also available for club owners to use as an option.
