We designed a cover generator for the band Anton & The Dots that allows fans to create their own covers for the new album. As the album’s title suggests, the entire project was more of a prototype. As a result, empty spaces became a visual theme. For example, the image filter in the cover generator visually represents a bandpass filter. Frequencies of gray values can be filtered out and overlaid with other elements. The same logic is reflected in the gallery filter. Here, time periods are filtered instead of frequency bands to search through the created covers. The UI primarily uses sliders, which reinforce the website’s prototypical feel.
