A magazine about polyrhythms and mathematical relationships in music and color theory.
This magazine deals with the subject of order in music. Inspired by a talk by Adam Neely at the Loop
Festival, it explores how order, in the sense of rhythm and mathematical relationships between tonal
intervals, can create musical harmony. It also explores whether this system can be applied to color
theory.
In addition, the concept of decoupling rhythm from the given grid of notation is discussed. Based on
an article by Malcolm Braff, it describes how a different sense of rhythm can be created by
interpolating two rhythms.
The design of the magazine is based on the concept of "harmonic relationship" and therefore has a 2:
3 format. In addition, the title pages are always designed as a visual analogy to the content of the
chapter.
